A Life Coach is someone who comes into your life for a period of time to journey with you to help define your life purpose, rediscover your life dreams, sharpen the vision of what it will take to achieve these and then set a course of action to grow and see these goals realized.

One reason that life coaching is needed is because too many people have given up on their goals and dreams of what life could be like and are now living unfulfilled and mediocre lives. They are simply existing and enduring each day rather than living life with great expectation and excitement, and so, to you I would say "don't settle for less". You owe it to yourself to find out what you are capable of having and doing with the life God has given you.

Another reason that life coaching is necessary is simply this, if you could accomplish your goals and achieve what you want from life by yourself - you would have already done so before now. Having a life coach will not only help you see the path more clearly to where you want to be, but will also be a source of encouragement and accountability to see that you get there.

Always accellerating? Driving right thru life in the fast lane? Want something more but just don't know what it is? One of the greatest needs of our time is to just SLOW DOWN. Everything seems to move with lightening speed. We eat lunch from a drive-thru window, we have 1 hour photo's, 1 hour cleaners, "quick lubes" for our cars, schedules to keep, appointments to make, places to go, people to see, and so we go & go & go! Yet we complain that "we just don't have the time".

We build these nice, new & big homes with the wrap-around porches on them - and yet we seldom, if ever, have the time to actually sit on those porches with people that we love & want to spend time with because - we're too busy working to pay for them. Something is grossly wrong with our prioities in this fast pace of life that we are keeping when the people & things in our lives that really matter most continue to go wanting because we're out "living the good life". Or, more accurately, "out trying to pay for it"!

One of the reasons I put a picture of our front porch on my web site is to remind me to slow down the pace of my life just long enough to realize what my dreams & goals might be. This is also true of most people today. Many times, we're not listening to our inner voice, the voice of God, the leading of the Holy Spirit or even our friends & family - because we're not still long enough. How can we listen when we're the one doing all the talking? Taking time to be still & listen, may be one of the greatest needs for those who want a fulfilling life.

If you'll notice in the picture, there are two rocking chairs that my mother-in-law bought us shortly after we finished building our home. I (jokingly) said then, "I wonder if the day will ever come that we will actually have time to sit in these chairs"? Sadly, that was over 10 years ago, and it wasn't until recently that we have started making time in the evenings & on week-ends to sit together on the front porch. The joy of a front porch goes unappreciated until someone stops, just long enough, to experience the moment from the seat of a rocker or a swing.
